Tubes

Owen and Sadie last week both got tubes in their ears. Not because they have had constant illness, we really haven't had any problems with that.

But Owen several months ago started complaining about not being able to hear out one of his ears. Well several doctors appointments and prescriptions later, it was decided tubes would be best. The doctors believe the ear was not able to drain some of the fluid because of scar tissues build up from having his adenoids removed when he was younger. Although, since he has had the surgery he says it still is the same, not very reassuring.

For Sadie she was just continuing to be so delayed in her speech development. She has always shown fluid in her ears and has a hard time passing a hear test, yet we know she can hear. But we decided to look into the fluid playing a bigger part into her delay especially since we were already going to the ENT for Owen.

Needless to say they both got tubes in on the same day last week and have done great.
