Snowstorm 2010

Here are some photos of the snowstorm we encountered on our way home Thanksgiving weekend. We were driving north on I-15 outside of St. George. When we started up the pass in the mountains on the way to Cedar City, the snow began to fall and it continued for hours. Once the snow starting falling faster, the traffic in both lanes came to a halt. The visibility was poor and there were no snowplows to be seen. So we were stuck with several hundreds of other people crawling at 5 MPH in a blizzard. It took us over 2 hours to make it to Cedar City to St. George, which normally is a 45 minute drive. The sun was going to set soon making conditions worse and there was already inches of ice on the pavement. So we stopped in Cedar City and evaluated what to do. Needless to say we never left that there that night. We had a great time visiting with Kerry's brother and wife (Brab & Alan), who were so nice to let us crash with them.
